Terms of Use

Escena Script is a writing workspace for film and series screenplays, with tools for scripts, characters, locations, story planning and notes. These terms describe your use of that workspace.

Service operator

Ownership

You retain ownership of the scripts, notes and other original content you create. Saving or importing your work into Escena Script does not transfer ownership to us. We process your content to store it and provide the writing, organization and export features you use.

Your account

You can create an account with an email address and password or sign in with Google. Keep your sign-in details safe, and sign out when using a shared device. Signing out does not necessarily remove script backups stored in that browser.

Imports and exports

Escena Script supports Fountain and Final Draft files and a print view for saving PDFs. Review formatting, page breaks and imported content before delivering a screenplay. Keep exported copies of important work outside the service.

Availability

Saving to your account depends on a working connection. The editor also stores a recovery copy in your browser while saving; browser storage can be cleared or become unavailable. Neither an online save nor a browser recovery copy should be your only copy of important work.

Leaving the service

The Account page provides controls to download account content and request account deletion. Export any work you want to keep before deleting your account, and remove local browser copies separately. See the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for information about account content and device storage.
